We fished south of Ludington today setting up in 120 feet of water (fow) trolling southwest. The action was good. We were hitting fish before all our rods were set. We took it out to 340 fow before turning back on a northeast troll. The in troll was good too. Our top rod for the day was a high wire diver with an 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Total Chaos Big Water Meat Rig. We started it out 150, then dropped it back to 180 and finished the day off with it back 220. The other high wire had a 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig back 160 and when it quit going we dropped it back to 230 where it took 2 more shots. A 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Rig took a couple fish back 110 on a low wire diver. An 11″ DW Paddle with a glow meat head down 85 on the chute rigger went twice. Most of our fish came on Spin Doctors & meat rigs on our divers & coppers. The exception was a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Glow Blue Bubble Action Fly on a 350 copper. It went 3 times. We probably would took more fish on it, but with all the action it was hard to get it out. A 10′ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Rig was good on a 250 copper. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
Ludington Area Fishing Reports
9-2-14 Fishing Report

Tough fishing yesterday. We fished north on the bank. The water was warm all the way to the bottom, same as the day before. They were biting Sunday in the warm water, but not on Monday. The Lake got rough before the day was done and the trip home was a real adventure. Today the fishing was much better. We started out in 90 feet of water (fow) north and trolled out to 350 fow. we hit our first fish in in 110 fow. We boated some nice mature Kings, a couple Coho, and several Steelhead. Not much rigger action. Wire divers and coppers were the ticket today for us. A 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/ Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig out 185 on a high wire diver was good for several fish. We had 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctors/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rigs on the other high diver and a low wire. They both took fish. The high was out 150 and the low 130. Our best coppers were a 150 with a regular size Blue Educator Fuzzy Bear Spoon, a 300 with a 10″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Rig, and a 350 with a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Glow Blue Bubble Action Fly. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
