Ludington Area Fishing Reports

We fished north today setting up off the bank. Surface temp was 68.4 and it was 49.1 on our Fish Hawk at 50 feet. Took a small King on an out down set at 55 ft. with a pair of Green Glow spoons. It took the free slider. We hit a Steelhead on a 5 color core with a Double Orange Crush. We had 2 bites on a 3 color core with the same bait. Only one diver bite. It came on a high wire diver out 150 with a standard Green Glow spoon. It was tough fishing for us today. We took a King on a 10 color core with an SS Half Wonder Bread. We were on a north troll most of the morning but took our last 2 fish on a southwest troll. A nice Steelhead hit a mag spoon on a 250 copper. We doubled up when a King took a Fireball on a 400 copper. We were very grateful for those last 2 bites. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.

We fished north today. The surface temp was 63 and it was 41.3 down 50 ft on our Fish Hawk. All our bites today were on spoons except a Laker we caught on a 300 copper with an 8″ White Crush Flip Fin/Fly and a big fish we lost on an 8″ Green Black Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on a 250 copper. Our best rod was a 5 color core with a Double Orange Crush spoon. It went 4 times. We had 2 bites on an out down set at 50 with a pair of glow spoons. Both bites came on the free slider. Starboard high wire diver out 150 with a green glow spoon went twice and the low wire went once out 100 with another green glow spoon. Port out down set at 60 took a fish on a SS Half Green Jeans free sliding above a DW Green Jeans. No bites on the chute rigger. We went out as deep as 300 feet and the down temp didn’t change. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
