Ludington Area Fishing Reports

We set up in 100 feet of water. It was 53 degrees down 50 feet. First rod to go was a #3 glow plug on a 175 copper. It went again as soon as we reset it, but we lost that one. A standard UV Bloody Nose on a 225 copper took a good size King. Our starboard low wire Deeper Diver out 125 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig went twice. Our port high wire diver out 200 with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice. Our port low wire Deeper Diver out 100 with a 10″ Chrome Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/DW Meat Rig took a King. We didn’t have a rigger bite until later in the morning. Our starboard out down set at 65 with a pair of DW lemon Lime spoon took a nice Coho. The chute rigger down 85 with a mag Spotted Blue Dolphin stacked with a standard Spotted Blue Dolphin took our last King. It hit the stack. We took fish on 250 and 300 coppers with mag spoons. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our coppers and lead cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.

We set up in 100 feet of water. It was 50 degrees down 50 feet on our Fish Hawk. Our starboard out down set at 65 with a pair of DW Green Hulks took our first fish. It took the free slider. A DW Green Hulk stacked above a Natural Glow Captains Choice Cut Plug down 50 feet went next. We had a pair of DW Green Hulks on our port out down set at 55. We pulled them after they didn’t go, but it turned out we had about a 5 lb. King riding on the main bait. The Hulks on the starboard out down went again but we missed it. We boated a Steelhead on a 175 copper with a #3 glow plug. Our starboard low wire Deeper Diver out 85 took 2 Kings with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Our starboard high wire diver out 185 with a 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took our biggest King.  Our port high wire diver out 200 with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig went once but the fish escaped. The port Low wire Deeper Diver out 110 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig took a King. We boated a Laker on our port out down set at 85 on a DW Wrecking Ball free sliding above a mag Hulk. Our chute rigger down 105 with an 11″ DW White Slick Paddle/ Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went near the end of the trip, but that fish escaped too. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our coppers and lead cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
