We fished north setting up off the bank. We got a little late start this morning, so we were happy when our 3rd rod in got hit. It was a smaller King that took a SS Half Green Hulk stacked 15 ft. above another SS Half Hulk down 70 on an out down. It went again a little while later, but we missed that one. Our port high wire out 200 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took off with a big fish on it. After a long fight the fish got away.
We took a King on a 7.5 color core with a Double Orange Crush and a Steelhead on our other 7.5 core with a #4 Double Glow Plug.
We had 4 bites on a 250 copper with a Fireball. We took a King on a 275 copper with a standard Green Hulk and a King on a 10 color core with an SS Half Wonder Bread. We boated 6 fish on our north troll. The waves were getting big when we turned back south. We took 3 more fish on our upwind troll north of the point. When we got south of the point the waves got really big. We couldn’t get that last fish we needed on the south troll, so we turned back north.
We just got turned when our chute rigger down 90 with a new Dreamweaver Charlie’s Special Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Action Fly fired. It turned out to be the biggest fish of the trip.
We pulled our lines and found a small King riding on a 300 copper with a mag spoon. That one is going to my dinner. We use Morgan’s Tackle and wire, Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, and Dreamweaver Premium Strips in our meat rigs.
