Fished south today setting up in 110 feet of water. It was 46 degrees 55 feet down on our Fish Hawk probe. The picture on our graph looked pretty good, but we had to wait a long time for our first bite. We finally hit a fish on a 200 copper with an 8″ White Slick Crush Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly. It was a big King that took out a lot of line. Then a 300 copper with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black UV Dreamweaver Meat Rig took off with another big King. They got tangled and the one on the 300 broke off. We did boat the king on the 200. We missed a fish and took our other King on a high wire diver out 185 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We had a bite on a 200 copper with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig but it didn’t hook up. The rest of our fish were Lakers. Most of them came on or near the bottom on our chute rigger and wire divers. We had 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctors with Dreamweaver Whirly Gigs on our wire divers. One was a Blue Chrome with Glow Wings and the other was a Green Chartreuse with Glow Wings. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
