Fishing report by Captain Adam from Reel 2 Reel Outdoors
Went straight out of Ludington and set up in 140′
Got all the rods in the water and hit a nice king in the dark 85’ down on the outdown with a Yeck Jared. Got reset and the bite started. First the low diver back 150 with white slick pickle rig went followed by the chute 110 down white paddle, a 225′ copper small Mongolian beef plug and a Pinkie on a 300. We had a quad going with all mature fish. We had the diver go out to 750′ and the chute out to 650′. After 1 hour and 10 minutes plus another mature fish that hit after we land one of the quad, we were sitting on 6 kings with one mature. We had only a couple rods and only one board left in the water. We got reset and hit another mature on a 375 copper with a blue splatter plug along with the chute rigger. We lost the chute and landed the copper fish. We hit a coho on the high diver back 220′ with a mag spoon. The bite was steady with meat and paddles doing most of the damage. We changed up some baits and landed a couple steelhead and a few more coho. Great day on the water with a great crew!! Ended 13 -18 and had a big box of fish. Our biggest king was just under 28 pounds!!
