Fishing report by Capt. Adam from Reel 2 Reel Outdoors
With the big storm last night we ran up north and set up in 150′. Got about 10 rod set and the chute down 95′ with a Dreamweaver black slick 11″ paddle pickle sunshine fly, took off. The fish was on the stack at 25′ on a glow spoon. A nice 3 year old king. While we were fighting that one the outdown at 75′ went with a #3 pinkie plug. That fish end up breaking off. It look like the plug was hooked deep and chaffed off the line. As soon as we reset the chute it went again with and king. Once again we reset the chute and it was instantly hooked up for the third time. Both were nice kings. Then the coppers started to fire with a 225 Black ladder back, then 350 with an ace high pinkie. we road for a little while and we started to turn around. Made about a 15 degree turn and we hit a quad. 300 black ladder back plug, 300 glow spoon, 250 black ladder back plug and 240′ back on a High Wire with a Kevin’s Girlfriend 10″ Dreamweaver Spin Doctor and a Big Water Green Mile. We landed all four fish!! The bite stayed steady as the wind started to build. All the divers were producing except one high so we put out a small green crush tape Dreamweaver 8″ paddle and a green crinkle back 255′. Five minutes later we were on! A nice coho!! We had a great morning going 17-25 with mostly silver fish. The biggest fish of the day came on the high wire back 240′ and actually broke the net when First Mate Seth scooped it. Awesome day on the Free Style!
