We fished south today setting up in 100 feet of water by the Project. The water was cooler than the last time we fished there, 42 degrees down 60 ft. We wanted to do a south troll, but the northeast wind made it hard to keep the rods straight. The picture on the graph was clean and we were worried about getting a bite when the port out down set a 55 with a pair of glow spoons took off. We were pretty sure it was a King, but it turned out to be a 17 lb. Lake Trout. Then the other out down set at 40 ft. with a pair of regular Dreamweaver Green Jeans fired with a nice Steelhead. We took a King and a Coho later in the morning on our out downs. Our second biggest Trout came on a 300 coper with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. Our other Lakers came on our chute rigger and low wire divers fished on or near the bottom with 8″ Spin Doctors and Glow Wing Blue Chrome Yellow Dot Whirly Gigs. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
8-20-18 Fishing Report

We had a fun trip today fishing with 3 old friends and 2 new ones. We fished straight out and a little south of Ludington setting up on the 37 line . A big Steelhead hit a regular size Dreamweaver Super Bread spoon 45 down on an out down in the dark. We boated another Steelhead on a glow spoon 55 down on our other out down. We took a Laker on a low wire out 70 with a mag Green Glow. We got our first Coho of the day on a 200 copper with an 8″ White Slick Crush Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly. We had a big fish break off a 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly on a 250 copper. We reloaded the 250 with the same set up and took another Coho and a Laker later in the morning. We caught a 3 year old King on a 300 copper with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We took a Steelhead and missed a fish on a low wire diver out 80 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. It got a little rough out there but we made it out to the high 44’s before we turned back in. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
