It was a little tougher bite out there today. We set up in the same area as yesterday and trolled west. Our 275 copper with a standard UV DW Beefeater took our first fish. We hit a big fish on our low wire #5 Deeper Diver with a mag Raspberry Carbon. It put up a good fight and ended up getting off. We had a lot of bites that didn’t hook up good.
They would be on for a short time and then be gone. Our starboard out down with a pair of SS Green Hulks set at 55 went twice. The top bait was free sliding. Later in the morning we pulled the Green Hulks and put on a SS Rasta Goose down 45 and free slid a SS Spotted Starburst. It went 2 times and we didn’t get either one. We went back to running an 11″ White Slick Paddle stacked with a standard DW UV Wonder Bread spoon. It didn’t go for quite a while so we pulled it and found an 8 lb. Lake Trout riding on it. We had a fish take the stack later but didn’t get it. Our 225 copper with a Broken Nose went twice and the 275 with the standard Beefeater went three times. We lost a nice fish on our port high wire #4 Deeper Diver out 150 with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our biggest King came on our port high wire #4 Deeper Diver out 170 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. No meat bites today. Our crew did a good job with the fish that were hooked up. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.

Our 300 had a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice and it went at least 4 times. On the port side our 175 and 225 coppers both had Broken Nose spoons on them. They both took fish. Our 275 with a standard DW UV Beefeater was our best copper on our port side. Very little diver action. Our port low wire #5 Deeper Diver out 90 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig was our best diver. It went 5 times. We took a few fish on our riggers. A pair of Super Slim Green Hulks down 55 went 3 times. We had the top bait free sliding. It was another beautiful day on the Big Lake. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
