We fished north the last two days. Yesterday we were fishing in the Legends Tournament. An event in the Ludington Offshore Classic. We had a good day, landing 11 Kings. We didn’t have any real big ones. Our heaviest was 18.55 lbs. Our 5 fish total was 78.15lbs. Ther were a lot of bigger fish caught on the boats that fished south. We finished 18th out of 77 boats. Congratulations to Pro Team Bear With Me for winning the event for the second year in a row.
Today we fished in the Ladies Tournament. We hit 2 fish early landing one of them. The fish we boated came on a small 8″ White Slick Flip Fin DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly down 85 on an out down . We took another on an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 70 down on the chute rigger. It was slow going after that. We had 8 bites and boated 3 fish. The fished we missed either hit and were gone or were on a a minute and also were gone. We had a fun crew that held up well in the rough conditions and look forward to fishing with them again next year.
