What a difference a day makes! We went from very little action to all the action we could handle. We set up in 100 feet of water. Surface temp was 72.2. It was 52 down 60 feet on our Fish Hawk. We had all our rods set in the dark and no bites. Half our crew was asleep when we hit our first fish. It came on a high wire diver with an 8″ Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. It got off. Then our Ninja Boards started going. First the port side got cleaned out, then the starboard side did the same. The only board that didn’t go was a 10 color core with a plug. We took hits on a rigger down 60 with a pair of Dreamweaver Soda spoons. The Chute rigger went 3 times with an 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our starboard out down set at 70 went a couple times with a mag Hulk. All 4 divers went. Highs out 210 & 180. Port high out 180 an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/DW Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig and later in the morning with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black Gasoline DW Meat Rig. Starboard high wire out 210 had the same White Slick/Pickled Sunshine Meat Rig. Port low wire Deeper Diver out 140 with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly was good. Starboard low wire Deeper diver out 125 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig went 3 times. We ran 10 color cores, 200, 225, 250, 275, 300, & 350 coppers. They all took fish, mostly with mag spoons. We had a Michigan Shiner captains Choice Cut Plug on a 225 that took a couple shots. Didn’t get a chance to take many pictures this morning. Our trip was cut short by a thunderstorm, but it was a very good trip. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
