8-13-14 Fishing Report

After the hard north blow yesterday we didn’t know what to expect when we headed north today. The surface temp got as low as 43.2 on our way up there. We kept going until  the water started warming and set up in 80 feet of water (fow). The surface temp was 52 degrees. We hit a fish right away on a regular size Fuzzy Bear Yellow Tail spoon stacked 10 ft. above an 11″ White Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly down 65 ft. Our 3, 5, & 7.5 color cores all took fish with #3 plugs. Both the 8 & 10″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctors with Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rigs took fish on a high wire out 100. and a 6 &  10 color core. A 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend/Green Mile Big Water Rig out 60 on a low wire went a couple of times. A 8″ Yellow Sparkle Spin Doctor/UV On Ice Big Water Rig took a good size Coho down 46 on an out down. The water was changing all morning and we didn’t have much action after 9:30. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs.
