We set up in 100 feet of water. It was 52 degrees on the surface, and it was 42 down 30 feet on our Fish Hawk. Our first bite came on the port out down set at 45 with a Natural Glow Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. We missed it. It went again shortly after we reset it. Our port high wire diver out 85 with an 8″ UV Spin Doctor/Yellow Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig went and we hit another fish on a 7.5 color core with a standard Green Hulk, tripled up. Our 10 color core with a mag Fuzzy Bear Blue slice went too. That one got away and so did the one on the 7.5 color core. We did take a fish on the standard Green Hulk a little later. Our other 7.5 color core went with a #3 Wonder Bread Plug went early, but that one got off too.
We had a tug on a high wire diver out 85 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig that didn’t hook up, but we took 2 Coho on that rig. We lost a big fish on our low wire Deeper Diver out 45 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Meat Rig. Our chute rigger down 80 with an 11″ White Slick Dreamweaver Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action went with a big fish. We doubled up when our low wire Deeper Diver out 100 with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig took off. Both fish escaped. We boated a King a little later on the low wire set up. We took 2 Coho on our starboard out down set at 50 on a standard DW Chilly Willy free sliding above an 8″ White Crush Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We lost a fish on a 3 color core with a Yeck Double Orange Crush. A 5 color core with a Gold Yeck Fireball went twice. A low wire Deeper Diver out 150 went 2 times with a 10″ Chrome Two Face Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. It was an action-packed morning. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our lead cores and coppers with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
