There was ice water up north after the strong northeast blow so we headed out to the south Trout grounds. A friend had a good catch there yesterday so we figured the fish would still be there today. No such luck. We were in as shallow as 45 ft. and out to 80 with no bites. We didn’t mark many fish either. Another friend was hitting fish north of us so on a desperation move we ran back north. It paid off. We took a Trout on a high wire diver with an 8″ Gold Spin Doctor/White Pink Dot Spin-N-Glo. We took a Laker on the chute rigger bouncing bottom with an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Yellow Dot Spin-N-Glo and another Trout on a high wire diver with an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Fire Tiger WhirlyGig. We had two other tugs on our divers but they didn’t hook up.
