We fished south again today setting up in 80 feet of water. The water had warmed up but the fish were still biting up in the warm water. We hit a King when we were setting lines on a 7.5 color core with a Super Slim Super Bread. The fish was a hard fighter. It took a long time to land the fish and we were very happy to get it in the boat. We hit 2 fish boating 1 of them while we were backed down on the big King. We lost a Coho on a high wire diver out 110 with a Bloody Nose and missed one on a 7.5 color core with a standard Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail. Our 7.5 color cores were our best rods. Our 2 biggest fish came on the SS Super Breads and our last fish, a Steelhead, on the Yellowtail. Our only rigger bite was on a pair of SS Rasta Goose spoons down 45. We lost a Coho right at the back of the boat. It was on the main bait. We took a fish and lost a fish on a 5 color core with a SS Magic Man. No bites on our 3 color cores that were so hot yesterday. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
