Had a fun trip up north this morning. Hit our first fish in the dark on our starboard out down set at 80 with a pair of Super Slim Super Breads. It was a King. Just got it in when our high wire # 4 Deeper Diver out 300 with a SS Rasbery Carbon took a hit. We boated another King. It was steady action most of the trip. Our 325 copper with a Super Slim Green Hulk went 3 times. Our 375 copper with a standard DW EVM spoon took a nice King and a Laker. A big White Paddle on the chute rigger down 110 went 3 times. One was a big King that made a couple long runs before it got away. Two of our mature Kings came on a DW Flip Fin White Crush Two Face Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 200 on a low #5 Deeper Diver. Our biggest King, a 25 pounder, took a Stud Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 310 on a #4 high Deeper Diver. A SS UV Super Bread on 300 copper went twice. Some of the other captains I talked to were doing good running meat. But we had our speed bumped up and catching them on spoons, Flip Fin Paddles & the Big Paddle down the chute. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
