We fished south of Ludington today. There were more boats turning south out of the pier heads than turning north. We set up in 100 ft. of water. The surface temp was 71.3. The temp on our Fish Hawk 50 down was 46 degrees, a little cooler than yesterday. We had our high wire divers and chute rigger fishing the bottom for Trout. Our low wires were set with 10″ Spin Doctors and meat rigs. We had spoons on both out downs and plugs and spoons on our coppers and cores. It was a tough bite again for us today. All rods were set and we trolled the first mile without a bite. Our first fish, a Laker, came on the chute rigger with a 10″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Spin-N-Glo. It went two more times during the trip and took our biggest fish. No bites on our low wires or out downs so we changed them out for Trout rigs. We hit a silver fish on a 7.5 color core with a Super Slim Rasta Goose. It wasn’t on long before it escaped. That was our only board bite. After our turn back north we worked out a little deeper. We had a few more bites but it was slow all morning.
