Fished north this morning setting up off the bank. We hit our first fish on a 400 copper with a Green Black Ladder-Back Captain’s Choice Cut Plug. We doubled up with a King on a 350 copper with a mag Flounder Pounder. Our wire divers were our best rods. A high wire #4 Deeper Diver out 245 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice. Our low wire #5 Deeper Diver out 145 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a big Coho and a mature King.
The waves were building all morning and were pretty big by the end of our trip. We had a late cancellation for tomorrow’s trip, so we won’t be out in the morning. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
