The Kings were hungry this morning! We set up north of Ludington off the Bank in 110 feet of water in the high 01’s and trolled north. We had our hands full trying to get our lines set. The first four rods in all fired with nice fish. The surface temp had cooled to 47 degrees and the fish were full of fight. Our out downs were set at 69 & 80 ft. and the chute rigger with a big White Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly was down 95′. A pair of regular size Dreamweaver Superbread Spoons on the 80′ rigger was our hottest rod. A Glow Blade Mountain Dew Spin Doctor/Mountain Dew Strong Fly back 180 on a low wire was good too.
We put one of Big Water Tackle’s new Blue Moo Meat Rigs behind a 10″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor out on a 350 copper. It wasn’t out long before a fat King hit it. That was our 14th fish. The 15th came on a BWT Froggie Meat Rig/10″ Green Crush Spin Doctor combo. We took most of our fish between 110 & 130 feet of water.
