Ludington Area Fishing Reports

Slow start again today. First rod was a 3 color core with a Mini Lucky Charms DW Plug. It took a Steelhead in the dark. It went 1 more time a little later. Port 5 color core went once with a Fireball. Starboard 3 color went twice with a Gold Double Orange Crush. Starboard 5 color went 1 time with a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug. Port 7.5 went 2 times with a mag Half Green Jeans. Starboard 7.5 went once with a Mini Natural Lucky Charms DW Plug and once with an SS Rasta Goose. Port 10 color went once with a UV Shelly Snack. Starboard 175 copper went once with a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug. Port out down set at 40 took a King on a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug. Missed a fish on the starboard out down set at 45 on a SS Lemon Lime. The chute rigger down 60 with an 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a big King. Port high wire diver out 150 went twice with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Port low wire diver out 80 went twice with a 10″ White Crush Green Scale Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig.  Starboard high wire out 135 went 3 times with an 8″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/ Glow Little Boy Blue Fly Starboard low wire out 95 went 2 times with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Prototype Little Boy Blue Meat Rig. Our crew did a good job on the rods and enjoyed the sunshine and calm Lake. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s tackle copper and wire.

Slow start again today. All our rods were set, and we waited awhile for our first bite. It came on a 3 color core with a Mini DW Lucky Charms DW Plug. After that they started biting. Port 5 color with a Fireball went 3 times. Starboard 5 color took a King on a Mini Pink Dot DW Plug. Port 7.5 went twice with a mag Half Green Jeans. Starboard 7.5 went once with a Mini Natural Glow DW Plug and twice with a SS Rasta Goose. Port 250 copper went 2 times with a Fireball. Port high wire diver out 150 went 1 time with an 8″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Red Sparkle Prototype DW Meat Rig. Port low wire out 80 went 1 time with a 8″ Chrome Green Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig. Starboard high wire out 135 went 1 time with an 8″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Glow Little Boy Blue Fly. Starboard low wire went 1 time out 135 with a 10″ Dreamcatcher Spin Doctor/Prototype Little Boy Blue DW Meat Rig. It went 2 more times out 160 with an 8″ Chrome Two Face Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard out down set at 35 went 3 times with a Salmon Slayer DW Plug. Chute rigger down 65 went once with an 11″ Chrome Two Face DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. It was our crews first time chartering on Lake Michigan. They had a lot of fun and did a good job on the rods. We use Dreamweaver Deeper Divers, Dreamweaver Ninja Boards, Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs, and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
