Fished south today on a scouting trip with friends. The air temp was 32 degrees when we left the dock at 6:00 a.m. We set up in tight hoping to hit some Browns. We trolled south between 8 & 12 feet of water for about four miles without a bite. We turned back north and worked between 25 & 55 feet of water . We hit a fish on a high diver and it got off. We finally took our first fish on a 5 color core with a mag Carmel Dolphin. It as a big Laker. In approximately 45 feet of water we took a real nice Steelhead on a clean bird with a Rapala F11 Hot Steel. We took a big Trout on a mag size Fuzzy Bear Frozen Veggie off a 5 color core. Between 50 & 55 feet of water we started taking some Lakers on our Trout Rigs. An 8″ Gold Spin Doctor/White Pink Dot Spin-N-Glows was our best rig taking 3 fish. It was a beautiful day on the Lake today. We ended up with 8 Lakers and a big Steelhead.
