Beautiful day on the Lake. It was a chilly 33 degrees when we pulled out of our slip this morning. We went south out of Ludington setting up in 60 feet of water. We hit fish right away. As usual our wire divers took most of our fish. Our hot rig, pictured below, was an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Fire Tiger Whirly Gig. Captain’s Micha & Adam from Hiatus turned us on to that combo. We were running it on a high wire diver and the chute rigger. We had an 8″ Gold Spin Doctor/White Pink Dot Sin-N-Glo on a low wire that was good early but went cold after the sun was out. We took two fish on our lead cores. A 5 color with a mag Fuzzy Bear Frozen Veggie took a Laker and a 7 .5 color core with a mag Fuzzy Bear Carmel Dolphin took another Trout. Most of our morning was spent trolling between 50 and 60 feet of water.
