We fished north today setting up south of the Bath House off the shelf. Surface temp was 57.1 degrees. It was 53.6 down 70 feet on our Fish Hawk. The Lake wasn’t as rough as we anticipated. We didn’t have any of our boards out when the action started. Both out downs went right away. Starboard out down set at 85 with an 8″ White Slick Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and a Half Green Jeans Super Slim stacked 10 feet above the Paddle went first. The fish took the stack. Port out down set at 105 with a mag Hulk spoon and a SS Half Green Jeans stacked 20 feet above the main bait was next. That fish took the stack. Both out downs went several times and each time the fish took the stack. Our chute rigger down 120 had an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly and another SS Half Green Jeans stacked 10 feet above it. The wind switched to the west and made a north south troll miserable. So, we did a west troll. We went out to 350 feet of water and only had 2 bites on the out troll. We turned east and hit 4 fish on the in troll. We took a nice King on the Paddle down 180 on the chute when we moved out to deeper water, but when we were inside our bites came on the stack. Port low wire out 175 with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly was our only diver bite. A 250 copper with a SS Soda, a 300 copper with a SS Half Blue Jeans and a 300 copper with a mag glow spoon were our copper bites. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and pull our coppers and lead cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
