The surface temp was 46.2 degrees when we set down south of Ludington this morning. The down temp was 43 down 65 feet on our Fish Hawk. We didn’t have all our rods set when a 7.5 color core with a SS Lance’s Two Face went with a nice King. We boated that fish and hit 5 more quick ones. We boated 3 out of 5. We had a couple of lulls later in the morning, but for the most part the action was steady. Our best bait was a Yeck Fireball on a 5 color core. A Super Slim Soda was good on 8 color core and a 150 copper. We took a King on a SS half A Bomb on a 175 copper. We took 2 Kings including our biggest fish on a high wire diver out 140 with a DW Green Stud Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We hit 3 Steelhead but only boated 1. We took 1 and missed 1 on a 3 color core with a Super Slim Duble Orange Pearl and
missed 1 on a 5 color core with a Yeck Fireball. Only had a couple rigger bites early but didn’t boat any of them. We use Morgan’s copper and wire.
