Had good morning today fishing south of Ludington. We trolled between 55 & 60 feet of water for the first hour or so then moved out deeper between 75 & 85 feet of water looking for Kings and bigger Trout. The action was faster for us in the shallower water. Not sure if was because we were in there earlier in the morning or if it was just better fishing in there. We took one King and nine Lakers between 55 & 60 feet. We took another King and the rest of our catch in the deeper water. Both Kings came on a Super Slim UV Green Leopard on a 7.5 color core. We took a Trout on it too. Our best Trout setup was a UV Mountain Dew WhirlyGig behind an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor on a low wire diver. Both baits are pictured above. The majority of our catch came on our wire divers fished on or near the bottom but we did take six Trout on our riggers. All our riggers & wires had 8″ Chrome or Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctors and WhirlyGigs on them. It was a fun trip and another beautiful day on the water.
