We set up in pretty much the same spot as yesterday south of Ludington. The surface temp was 46 and the down temp was 43 at 65 feet on our Fish Hawk. Lots of boats out this morning but most of them set up outside us. We took a King right away on our chute rigger down 58 with a mag Fuzzy Bear UV Beefeater. Later in the morning we took another King on the same bait 85 down on the chute rigger. We took a King on a 5 color core with a Yeck Fireball and another King on a 7.5 color core with a Super Slim Soda spoon. We went a mile or so without a bite so we turned around and made a north troll. We followed the same track as yesterday but didn’t hit a fish today. The action slowed on the boats we were communicating with so they made an out troll. We hung inside too long. We had a fish hit a 10 color core with a SS lances Two Face and another on a 225 copper with an SS Half A-Bomb but neither one hooked up. We put it on a 210 troll and didn’t turn until it was time to head home. It was a good move. Our best rod was an 8″ Blue Bubble Slick Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Glow Action Fly down 120 on an out down. It took 3 nice Kings. Two of them were a little over 16 lbs. A mag Fuzzy Bear Half A-Bomb down 105 on our other out down took a King. A 10 color core with a standard DW Double Orange Pearl took a King. It has been beautiful on the Lake the last couple trips. Lots of sunshine and very little wind. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
