We fished north today setting up in 150 feet of water on a north troll. Windfinder had predicated 2.1 ft. waves. They were a lot bigger. All our rods weren’t set when the chute rigger down 85 with an 11″ White Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took off with a big fish. That King did not want to come to the boat. We had to put both bags in and slow right down. After a long fight we finally boated it. It was a 22 lb. King. That was the last fish we had on for a long time. We had a tug on a 250 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Modified Carmel Dolphin and took a King later in the morning on that set up. We had an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly down 70 on an out down. When our chute rigger went we lowered to 85 feet and after we landed the fish on the chute we moved it back to 70. After it rode there for a while with no bites we moved it down to 100. No bites there so we pulled it. The line came up with a straightened swivel and no Spin Doctor. We had a fish rattle the chute rigger but it was a no show. We marked a few fish deep so we lowered the chute down to 120 ft. and took another mature King. It was very cold and when we came in the buoy off Ludington had the wave height at 4.4 feet.
