There were a lot more wind and waves than we expected when we headed out south of Ludington this morning. The surface temp was 42 degrees when we set lines and 40 degrees 45 down on our Fish Hawk probe. We took 2 Lakers on our south troll and 1 King. It was hard to get a good speed trolling into the wind and waves. The first Laker came on a high wire deeper diver ticking bottom with a 10″ Gold Spin Doctor/Custom Copper Spin-N-Glo.
The second Laker took an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Glow Wing Spin-N-Glo. We took a nice King on a 5 color core with a standard DW Green Slice. We took 2 more Trout and missed one on our down troll. They both came on the high wire diver with the 10″ Gold Spin Doctor. Not a lot of action, but enough to make it a fun trip.
