Fished north again today. Surface temp was 52.6. It was 49 degrees 50 down on our Fish Hawk. We had most of our rods set when a high wire diver out 145 went with an 8″ Chrome Frog Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went. We were netting the fish when the port out down set at 65 went with a pair of SS Half Green Jeans went. The fish took the top bait rubber band stacked 15 ft. above the main bait. We boated another fish on that rod, and it took the stack too. The high wire diver out 145 with the Chrome Frog Flip Fin took another hit but it didn’t stick. Today was the first trip in quite a while that we didn’t take a fish on our 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on the chute rigger. We did take a small Trout and a small King on the Half Green Jeans Super Slim rubber band stack that was 20 ft. above the Paddle. We had a 7.5 color core with an orange glow spoon go 3 times. Our other 7.5 color core went once with a Yeck Fireball. We took a Lake Trout on a 250 copper with a Super Slim Soda spoon. A 225 copper with a SS Shelly Snack went twice. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire, and we pull our coppers and lead cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
