Slow bite today on the Free Style. We had a mix up this morning and ended up leaving the dock at 6:00 a.m. We headed straight out of Ludington setting up in 100 feet of water trolling north. Didn’t see many fish on our screen so we kept on a north troll dropping off the edge of the crown. We marked more fish in a little deeper water between 120 & 140 feet of water . We took our first fish on a low wire diver out 95 with a magnum Dreamweaver Blue Spotted Dolphin. It was a good sized King. We took another King later in the morning on an 8″ Closer Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline DW meat rig. It took a good while for our next bite. It was another bigger King that hit an 8″ Senica Special Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver meat rig. After a good fight it escaped before we could boat it. Our last fish, a nice Steelhead, took a regular DW UV Spotted Dolphin free sliding above a mag UV Spotted Blue Dolphin. It put on a good show making several jumps before we boated it. It was a beautiful day we just wished we could have got more cooperation from the fish. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
