Went north yesterday setting up in 120 feet of water south of the Point. We were hoping the overcast sky and early start would help with an early King bite but the bite wasn’t any different than our last few trips north. First fish was a 2yr old King on a 175 copper with a mag Bloody Nose. We took a Laker on a mag Dreamweaver Green Glow 110 back on a low wire diver. We took a Laker and a King on a regular DW Blue Hulk free sliding above a mag Blue Hulk set at 80 ft. on our chute rigger. We took our biggest King this year, 23.10 lbs., on an 8″ Scotty Blue Glow Spin Doctor/Green Mirage Fly 85 back on a low wire diver. It ran out 500 ft. of wire on it’s first run. Our last fish was a Trout on a high wire diver out 210 with a Silver Glow (Tin Can) Dodger/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly.
