We fished north of Ludington setting up off the Bank. The surface temp was 59 degrees. Our Fish Hawk Probe temp down 65 was 46 degrees. The Southeast wind really picked up when we started setting lines. It was blowing so hard I had to man the helm. We only had a few lines in the water when we hit our first fish. It was a King that took a Half Bad Toad on an out down set at 60 feet. We doubled up when another King hit standard DW Soda 70 down on our chute rigger. It got pretty crazy after that. Our coppers and lead core rods started getting bit and so did our divers. Both low wire Deeper Divers went 3 times each during the trip. Our starboard low had a an 8″ Two Face Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. The fin was deployed. The port low wire was out 100 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our 3 color cores both had Orange Crush spoons. One was a Super Slim The other was a Yeck. The SS went 3 times and the Yeck twice. Our 5 colors with a Half A Snack and a Yeck Fireball both took fish. A 7.5 color with a Hulk Super Slim took a King. Our 200, 225, and 250 coppers all got hit. The port Slide Diver out 150 with a 50 foot lead went twice with a nag Happy Meal. The starboard Slide Diver with a Lance’s Two Face took a nice Steelhead. The surface temp had dropped to 53 degrees in the 01’s when we pulled lines. We use Morgan’s Tackel copper and wire.
