Fishing was very good this morning up north. We set up in 135 feet of water and it was game on right away. Most of our early bites were smaller fish. The bigger fish came a little later. Our best rigger was the starboard out down set at 75 with a pair of standard Dreamweaver UV Beefeaters. That spoon has been a producer for several trips now. We took a bigger King on it on a 250 cooper too. Our cores were good. The 7.5 with a SS Spotted Magic Man went twice early. Our 10 colors were good all morning. We had a Super Slim Green Hulk on one and a Green Slice on the other. Our port high wire Deeper Diver with an 8″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly out 180 went 3 times all with big fish but we only boated 1 of them. Our Starboard high wire took a bigger fish out 170 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our port low wire Deeper Diver went twice out 85 with a mag Dreamweaver Green Hulk. Our out downs went quiet after the first couple hours. We took our spoons off the chute rigger and put an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly on it. It went 3 times down 105. We took our biggest King on it. All our fish were full of bait, a very good sign. It was a fun trip with lots of action. We have 3 days off so our next report will be on Sunday. We use Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire and Stealth Core on our lead core rods.
