We fished south today setting up in 80 feet of water. It was 41 degrees down 40 feet on our Fish Hawk. We had good action all morning and ended up with a nice mixed bag. We took a Laker early on a low wire diver out 55 with a mag Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail. Our port out down went 3 times with a pair of Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans. One of those bites was a big Steelhead that got into a high wire diver. It was almost to the net when it went wild and ran under the chute rigger and broke off. We did land 2 Steelies. The biggest came on a high wire diver out 150 with a Freakin Blue Veggie. The other on a 5 color core with a SS Magic Man. That was our second best rod. Our best rod was a 3 color core with a Yeck Fireball. We had a Fireball on a 2 color core that took fish too. We took fish on both our 7.5 color cores. One had a standard Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail and the other a Hot Lips. Only one flasher bite. It came on an 8″ Dreamweaver Green Dragon Slayer Flip Fin Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We got in as shallow as 50 feet and as deep as 160 but spent most of the trip around 80 feet. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
