We fished straight out and a little north of Ludington today setting up in 110 feet of water (fow). We hit fish right away. Both our high wire divers with 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors went as soon as they touched bottom. One had a Chrome Blue Spin-N-Glow and the other a Chrome Blue Glow Winged WhirlyGig. We landed both Trout. When we were resetting them the starboard high diver got tangled in the port low diver. Then the port high wire got tangled with both of them. The current is real strong and all the boats I talked with today had to deal with tangled lines. We had a 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Green Glow UV Winged WhirlyGig ,pictured below, on an out down and a low wire diver. We took several fish on that combo. We caught a good size Coho on a high wire out 500 ft. in 120 fow on an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Chrome Spin-N-Glo. No spoon bites today. We took a Laker on a White Crush Big Foot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly 95 down on the chute rigger. Every fish other than that one came on 8″ Chrome Spin Doctors trailed by WhirlyGigs or Spin-N-Glos.
