Fishing on our first charter after the tournament was tough for us. We set up south of Ludington in 95 feet of water an trolled south. All our rods were set when a 225 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Green Jeans took off with a big King. Our crew fought it for quite awhile but on it’s third big run it escaped. We hit another nice fish on a 7.5 color core with a regular DW Green Skinny Jeans. It made a short run and was gone. After that it was all Lakers. We moved out to 100 feet of water and hit some Trout. Our two best rigs were an out down with an 8″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Mountain Dew WhirlyGig and a 10 Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Spin-N-Glo on the chute rigger. It took some time but we managed to grind out a three person limit of Trout.
