7-23-16 Fishing Report

We fished off the Bank today north of Ludington. The water was warm down to 95 feet. We hit our first fish on a 350 copper with a 10″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig. By the way it made the drag sing it was mature King. It got away. It wasn’t too long before another King hit our high wire diver out 320 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Green Gasoline DW Meat Rig. It got off too. We took our first King on a 10″White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/Moo Moo Big Water Tackle Meat Rig on a 450 copper. Our King bites dried up and our next action came from Lake Trout. We caught 2 small ones that we threw back, landed 2 keepers and lost 2 more before we hit our last King. It took a 10″ Margareta Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig, pictured right, out 220 on a low wire diver. We hit 1 more trout when we were pulling lines. It shook off when it hit the surface and swam away. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
