Fished south again today setting up in 100 feet of water. The picture on the graph was looking good when we set down. There were suspended marks and marks on the bottom. After all our rods were set the graph was clean. We had to wait for our first bite. It was a big Lake Trout on the chute rigger with a 10″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Spin-N-Glo. We took a Laker on a high wire diver ticking bottom with an 8″ UV Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue WhirlyGig with Glow Wings and 2 more on our out downs. There were bugs in the air so we put a Yeck Red Laser spoon on a 7.5 color core hoping to catch a Steelhead. It wasn’t out long when it took a big hit hit and started peeling out line. It wasn’t a Steelhead, it was a mature King. We took another mature King on the turn back north. It took a mag glow spoon on a 200 copper. The action was never fast but it slowed even more on the north troll. We took 1 more Laker on the high wire with the UV Trout Candy, 1 on an out down with a 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/White Pink Dot Spin-N-Glo and another big Trout on the chute rigger with the 10″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue Spin-N-Glo. No meat bites today. There are more pictures from todays trip on Free Style Charters Facebook page.
