We had all our lines set this morning up north and waited 35 minutes before we got our first bite. It was on the chute rigger and we lost it. After not hitting a fish on the Bank we turned out on a northwest troll. Our second bite came on an out down set at 67 ft. with a magnum Fuzzy Bear Modified Green Dolphin. It was a King and we landed that one. We had a pair of mag Fuzzy Bear Ally Cats on the other out down and that was the next rod to go. To our surprise it had 2 fish on it, a small king on the free slider and a Lake trout on the bottom bait. We turned back in when we hit 300 feet of water (fow) . It was slow going most of the morning. None of our hot rigs were going so we had to dig a little deeper into the program box. We took our biggest king on a 300 copper with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Black UV Big Water Meat Rig. Magnum spoons were good for us today. Besides our early bites on our out downs, we lost a Steelhead on a mag Fuzzy Bear Blue Educator 67 down and took a King on it. We took another King on a mag Fuzzy Bear Flea For All on a 200 copper. We took 4 Lake Trout including the big one pictured left fishing near bottom with a Tin Can Dodger/Yellow Red Dot Spin-N-Glow. We only took 1 fish on a wire diver. It was a low wire out 165 with a 10″ Net Minder Showtime Spin Doctor/Blue Ice Big Water Rig. We had a tug on a high wire out 200 with a 8″ Chrome Kevorkian Spin Doctor/Yellow Gasoline Dreamweaver Meat Rig but it didn’t hook up. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods.
