We fished northwest of the Point again today between 600 & 800 feet of water (fow). We set up in 55 degree water and trolled across a break into 39 degree water surface temperature. We hit fish right away. Our first hit came in 53 degree water on a clean bird with a Yeck Fireball. We hit another on a 1 color core with a Super Slim Magic Man in 44 degree water. By the time we landed that one we were in 39 degree water. I made a turn to go back to the warm water and hit 3 more Steelhead in the cold water. One on a Yeck Fireball out 65 feet on a high Slide Diver and the other 2 on clean birds. One on a SS Starburst and the other on a SS Steelie Stomper. We worked back and forth between 53 degree and 39 degree surface temps. There were a lot more boats to dodge out there today. We were hitting a few fish on the zig zag troll but by the sound of the boats on the radio they were having better action west of us. We put it on a 240 troll and our action picked up. We took a lot of our fish between 46 and 53 degree water. The Lake Trout on the left took a Super Slim Ruby Red 25 down on an out down. We took a Steelhead on it too. Some of our best rods were clean birds with Super Slim Starburst 3 bites, Little Devil Bumble Bee 3 bites, & a Yeck Fireball 3 bites. A Yeck Pat’s Bait on a 2 color core went 4 times and a Yeck Red Laser on a 3 color core took 2 Lakers. The chute rigger with a 11″ Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly took a nice Coho down 90 ft. A SS Steelie Stomper on a clean bird was good too. We missed a few fish today and threw back 2 small Steelhead. Our best speed seamed to be between 2.4 and 2.7 over ground.
