We fished south again today setting up in 100 feet of water. The surface temp was 3 degrees colder than yesterday. We didn’t have much showing on our graph but we gave it a try. It didn’t take long for our first bite after we set up. A 5 color core with a Captain’s Choice Natural Glow Cut Plug took a hit but wasn’t on for long. We took a Steelhead on a 7.5 color core with a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans. We missed one on a 175 copper with a SS Super Bread. It took awhile for our next bite. We took a Coho on a 175 copper with a SS Blue Skinny Jeans and later in the trip missed one on the same rod. We worked our way out to 150 feet of water and hit a Laker on the bottom with an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Chrome Blue WhirlyGig with Glow Wings. It flipped off just out of reach of the net. Our last fish of the day came on the same rig. We took a Coho on a SS Two Face stacked 10 above a Spin Doctor/Meat Rig down 60 feet on the chute rigger and missed a fish on a high wire diver out 110 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. We trolled in and out & north and south with 18 rods out and didn’t have much action. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on all our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.
