We decided to go back south to get some of the hair off the dog that bit us yesterday. We set up in 110 feet of water and trolled southeast to work in a little shallower. The surface temp was 63 degrees today. Four degrees warmer than yesterday but it was 42 degrees 45 feet down. Another boat set up right inside us and was trolling south meaning we were on a collision course. We saw them hit a fish so we turned out and we hit one too. We had a pair of Super Slim Super Breads on an out down 45 feet down. A big fish had hit the stack 10 ft. above the main bait. It was still dark it got in our high wire on the other side of the boat and broke off. We just got turned back on a southeast course and a 175 copper with a SS Green Skinny Jeans took off. It turned out to be a nice King. We were in 100 feet of water when the Super Breads on our out down went again. We boated a Coho. We stayed between 100 & 110 fow and took another Coho on the SS Super Breads. Every bite we had on them came on the stack. The action slowed and we put a trout rig on the chute rigger. We turned out southwest and took a Laker on the chute rigger with an 8″ Chrome Spin Doctor/Blue Chrome WhirlyGig with glow wings. We left that rig down the rest of the day and it was he only time it went. We turned north in 140 fow and took a Coho on the Super Breads. We had lowered them to 60 ft. They were our best set up today. We turned in and took 3 fish on our in troll, 2 Steelhead on a 175 copper with a regular size DW Green Skinny Jeans and a Coho on a SS Green Skinny Jeans free sliding on the other out down set at 55 ft. Only 2 diver bites. We took a King on a high wire out 110 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig and a Coho on an 8″ Chrome Killer Spin Doctor/Green Mile Big Water Meat Rig. Not sure if we will go back there tomorrow but we were happy with todays catch. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper on our copper rods and Morgan’s wire on our wire rods.
