Fished north today setting up off the bank. The down temp at 70 feet was 54 degrees on our Fish Hawk. The picture on our graph look very promising, bait and fish galore. We took it 2miles north of the point and only had 3 small Salmon to show for it. We took 1 on a DW UV Beefeater stacked 12 feet above another UV Beefeater 85 down. Number 2 was on a standard Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail 75 down and number 3 came on a 10 color core with a SS Bloody Nose. We didn’t see any point of turning around and going over the same water so we pulled off the bank and put it on a southwest troll. We took a Lake Trout on a 11″ White Slick DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine 135 down on the chute rigger in 230 feet of water. We took our biggest fish of the day on a low wire Deeper Diver out 135 with an 8″ Flip Fin Kevin’s Girlfriend DW Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. We took 2 fish on a 10 color core with a Super Slim Magic Man. Our big Laker came on a mag Fuzzy Bear Modified Carmel Dolphin out 185 on a high wire Deeper Diver. We took a Coho on a mag DW Spotted Blue Dolphin down 75 on an out down. The bites were harder to come by today and our crew did a good job getting the fish that hit into the boat. We use Morgan’s copper & wire and Stealth Core on our lead core rods.
