Went north today. It was much rougher than we thought it was going to be. We set up in 150 feet of water and trolled north into the waves. The water was colder than yesterday, 45 degrees 50 ft. down. We hit a big King right away on a low wire out 85 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. It was on for a bit and got off. We took a good size Trout on a 225 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail. The waves kept building and the north troll got tougher. We took a small King on a 325 copper with a mag glow spoon just before we turned back south in the high 06’s. We hit 2 more big fish and 2 small ones on our coppers. One of the big ones broke off and the other big one threw the hook about 30 ft. behind the boat. We took a small Trout on our chute rigger with a 10″ Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctor/Mountain Dew Whirly Gig.
