We ran a 5 hour trip this morning setting up straight out of Ludington and a little north in 85 feet of water. All our rods were set and no bites. We put it on a south troll. The graph was clean,no marks, not good. Wasn’t sure if we should keep going south or turn back north. Talked to 2 boats north of us and they weren’t doing anything either so we continued on a south southeast troll. Our first 4 or 5 bites were Lake Trout on our high wire divers ticking bottom with Lake Trout Candy Spin Doctors/Chrome Chartreuse WhirlyGigs. We made one long troll working between 85 & 95 feet of water. The King pictured above weighed a little over 17 lbs. and gave us quite a battle. It hit a Green Skinny Jeans Super Slim free sliding above a DW Skinny Jeans 55 down on an out down. We took a few Trout on the Blue Chrome Glow Wing WirlyGig but Chrome Chartreuse was the best today.
