Tough day for us. We set up in 85 feet of water straight out of Ludington. We didn’t mark any bait or fish on the set but when we got out to 90 ft. the picture improved on our graph. We took our first fish on our port low wire diver out 85 with an 8″ Blue Bubble Spin Doctor/Blue Bubble Action Fly. It was a Coho. We hit a fish on our starboard high wire diver out 160 with the same setup. It escaped. We missed our next 2 bites. One on a 10 color core with a standard Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail and the other on a 7.5 color core with a Bloody Nose. We put it on a 240 troll heading for deeper water. We had to wait a long time for our next bite. It was a Lake Trout on a high wire diver out 160 with a Super Slim Leopard Frog. We took a Coho on a 225 copper with a Green Goby and another Coho on the low wire out 85 with the Blue Bubble combo. We covered a lot of water, saw a lot of bait and fish on our graph but didn’t have much luck getting them to bite.
