We set up in 100 feet of water. It was 46 degrees down 50 feet. The chute rigger down 50 with a Captain’s Choice Glow Black Ladder Back Plug went right away before we could throw the slider on. It hit and was gone. First Mate Abe reset the rod and this time got the DW Green Hulk slider on. It went again right away. This time the King took the slider. We got that one. We had just enough early action that we couldn’t get our Ninja Boards out until it was full daylight. Our divers were good early. Port high wire out 140 with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly went twice. Port low wire Deeper Diver out 85 with a 10″ Black Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig out 85 went twice. Starboard High wire diver out 150 was our best rod today. It went several times with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Starboard low wire Deeper Diver out 95 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig went a couple of times. Later in the trip we had a Yeck Gold Fire Ball stacked 20 feet above a Green Hulk that took a Coho and a Steelhead. We lost a fish on a 150 copper with a Super Slim Double Orange Crush. We took 2 fish on a 275 copper with a mag Green Black Glow spoon. It got pretty rough when we turned out to deeper water and rained on us, but it was a fun trip and our crew held up well. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire. We pull our copers and lead cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
