We set up in pretty much the same spot as yesterday only out a little deeper, 120 feet of water and put it on an out troll. The down temp on our Fish Hawk was 50 degrees at 50 feet. We took our first fish in the dark on a glow spoon down 70 on our port out down. Our chute rigger down 75 with an 11″ White Slick Paddle/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly stacked with a mag Fuzzy Bear UV Blue Skinny Jeans was next. We took another King on the stack. Our 175 copper with a small glow spoon, not a Dreamweaver, got hammered by a big fish. We lost it. When we brought it in the hook and split ring were gone. We had one meat rig out 85 on a low wire #5 Deeper Diver. It was a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. It went three times. It took our biggest King and our last fish, a Steelhead with a Lamprey attached. We lost the second fish. While we were fighting a big Lake Trout on the chute rigger our high wire #4 Deeper Diver out 150 with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice took off with a nice Steelhead. We boated both of them. Later in the trip we lowered our starboard out down to 80 feet and stacked a standard DW Green Slice 10 ft. above a mag Fuzzy Bear Green Slice. It wasn’t down there very long when a big fish hit it and came up into out low wire diver and broke off. We lost the mag spoon and the fish. Our 250 copper with mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice went twice but we only got one of them. We took another Laker on a mag glow spoon on a 275 copper. It was rough and wet out there again today but the fish were biting. At one point early in the trip, First Mate Seth had to grab a rod and start reeling. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
