We set up a little south of Ludington today in 140 feet of water. The water had warmed from yesterday and the picture on our graph looked good. By the time we got all our rods set we were in 16o feet of water, and we weren’t seeing much on our graph. Was seriously thinking about turning back in when our out down set at 55 feet with a SS Super Bread and a UV SS Super Bread free sliding above it took off. Our 250 copper with a mag Fuzzy Bear Orange Slice went, Our Chute rigger down 75 with a 11″ White Slick DW Paddle stacked with a mag Fuzzy Bear UV Blue Skinny Jeans and our 200 copper with a #3 Silver Hord Glow Black Ladderback plug both went. The action got crazy. Didn’t have time to get many pictures. We were trolling west and had steady action all morning. The chute rigger with the Paddle and the mag Fuzzy Bear went 4 times. Twice on the Paddle and twice on the stack. Our low wire diver out 85 with a 10″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine DW Meat Rig went twice 85 out and twice 110 out and it took our biggest King. The high #4 wire Deeper Diver out 190 went a couple times with an 8″ White Slick Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Action Fly. Our starboard low wire out 125 hadn’t gone until we put a prototype Flip Fin Paddle/Liquid Sunshine Action Fly on it. We took 2 Coho and missed 2 fish on it. Our starboard out down with the SS Super Breads went dead later in the morning so we put a pair of standard DW Eyeball Man spoons and set it at 75 feet. It went right away. We lost that fish but took a nice King on it a little later. Going to a short report tonight. Had to do an oil change on the boat and it is getting late. We had fantastic action and the Lake was beautiful. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and Morgan’s Tackle copper and wire.
