Fished south of Ludington today. Our Fish Hawk down temp was 47 degrees at 50 feet. We were just getting ready to put our 250 copper on a Ninja board in the dark when a fat Coho took the mag glow spoon that was on it. Got the skunk out early. It was still dark when a big King took the regular DW Chilly Willy set at 55 ft. on our starboard out down. It was a fighter. It got into 2 of our coppers and did not want to come to the surface. Just as we got it in the net our out down with a regular DW Green Skinny Jeans set at 65 ft. and a Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans free sliding above it took of with a 2 year old King. It got into our low wire diver then under our chute rigger and under the swim platform. We got it in the net and the chute rigger with a mag Fuzzy Bear Yellowtail set at 75 ft. and a regular Fuzzy Yellowtail stacked 10 feet above it started hammering. We still had the 2 tangled coppers hanging off the back of the boat and a low wire diver tripped. It was a mess. The fish charged the boat and escaped. It took a while for us to get everything back fishing. We took another Coho on the free sliding Super Slim Green Skinny Jeans on the out down. Our low wire diver out 110 with a 10″ Kevin’s Girlfriend Spin Doctor/Green Mile Meat Rig took a hit but didn’t hook up. We took another mature King on a high wire diver out 165 with a 10″ White Crush Black Dot Spin Doctor/Pickled Sunshine Dreamweaver Meat Rig. The action slowed way down on our north troll. We took a Laker off the bottom and dealt with a couple tangles the last 2 hours of the trip. We use Dreamweaver Premium Strips in all our meat rigs and pull our copper and cores with Dreamweaver Ninja Boards.
